In  2000 with  the  financial support  of  the foreign charitable organization  “The Open  Society Institute.  The Assistance Fund” the representative office of the organization “Counseling center  for assistance to  forced migrants” was opened in the city of Georgievsk, that had been working till 2002.

   In  2000 with  the  financial support  of  the foreign charitable organization  “The Open  Society Institute.  The Assistance Fund” the representative office of the organization “Counseling center  for assistance to  forced migrants” was opened in the city of Georgievsk, that had been working till 2002.

   The  goal of the project is protecting the interests of forced migrants  in the Georgievsk district, including:

• counseling  on legal issues,  including drawing up statements of claims,  complaints,  inquiries for  establishing legally relevant facts;
• representing the rights of forced migrants  in courts of  general jurisdiction,  state  institutions, migration services and other agencies;
• counseling  on  social issues;
• rendering material aid  to needy families of forced migrants.
